The Farming Business

The core of the EAF Group business is Frieze Hall Farm, a 300 acre arable farm located on the outskirts of Brentwood. A further 350 acres is either rented in or contract farmed.

In order that we have control over the quality and traceability of the crops grown, most of the work is carried out by our own staff using specialist machinery.

Cropping is mainly ryegrass or timothy grasses, with wheat being grown in the rotation as a break crop, along with some Lucerne.

The grasses are all packaged and sold through our animal feed business and straw from the wheat crops, processed and sold as premium animal and pet bedding.

Business Units

As the farming operation has grown at Frieze Hall Farm, larger buildings have been required to accommodate increased volumes of produce and larger, more efficient modern machinery. The smaller, former farm buildings have been refurbished and converted into business units. We have a mix of storage units and workshops, with sizes ranging from 700 square feet to 3600 square feet.
